The national professional body is the Australasian Podiatry Council, with which the State Associations and Podiatry New Zealand are affiliated.
Bay of Plenty District Health Board
Foot Mechanics are part of an innovative strategy by the Western BOP Primary Health Organisations and BOP District Health Board to reduce amputations. The programme, which aims to target diabetics, who are most at risk, will see people who have “at risk” feet referred to a podiatrist free of charge.

Established in 1996, Ganley Orthotics provides Foot Mechanics Podiatrists with prescription orthotics. Ganley Orthotics were the first orthotics lab to operate a fully automated CAD/CAM prescription orthotic manufacturing system in the Southern Hemisphere.
